Analysing the charged scalar boson contribution to the charged-current B meson anomalies

Experimental measurements collected by the BABAR, Belle, and LHCb experiments on different observables associated with semileptonic transition $b \to c \tau \bar{\nu}_\tau$, indicate existence of disagreement respect Standard Model predictions. We analyse charged scalar boson contributions to these charged-current $B$ meson anomalies within framework two Higgs doublet model most general Yukawa couplings quarks leptons from third generation, involving left-handed right-handed (sterile) neutrinos. perform a phenomenological study parameter space that accommodates anomalies. consider recent data HFLAV world-average Belle combination, upper limits ${\rm BR}(B_c^- \tau^- \bar{\nu}_{\tau}) < 30\%$ $10\%$. In addition, we include in our prospect $R(D^{(\ast)})$ II experiment could achieve explore, for first time, future implications corresponding couplings. This analysis updates existing literature includes new important observables. Our results show current experimental $b\rightarrow \bar{\nu}_\tau$ projection favor interpretation interacting Furthermore, as side regarding interpretation, revisit relation between $R(D^\ast)$ \bar{\nu}_{\tau})$ investigating whether claim pseudoscalar physics interpretations $R(D^{\ast})$ are implausible due $B_c$ lifetime is still valid, light prospects $R(D^{\ast})$. Lastly, reexamine addressing context 2HDM Type II.
